About Us
The Greater Philadelphia Clean Cities Program (GPCCP) is one of nearly 90 coalitions of private and public stakeholders sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Vehicle Technology Program (VTP) to promote the development and use of alternative fuels and alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs). GPCCP contributes to the energy, environmental, and economic security of the United States by supporting local decisions to reduce our dependence on petroleum.
GPCC was among the first three coalitions designated by DOE in September 1993. GPCCP is composed of some of the largest utilities, fleets, and fuel providers in eastern Pennsylvania.
In 1997, GPCC was organized as an IRS Section 501(c)3 membership-based nonprofit corporation. Donations, contributions and dues are tax deductible as permitted by law.
